Best Procedures to Reduce the Signs of Aging

There are many ways to slow down the signs of aging. The easiest way is to start drinking plenty of water and make sure to apply sun screen and moisturizer daily. However, even with meticulous care, frown lines and wrinkles will happen. Because September is National Healthy Aging Month, we want to share with you the best procedures to reduce the signs of aging.

Botox

Botox is widely known for its use to reduce the signs of aging. With a few quick injections, deep lines between brows, crow’s feet, and laugh lines are all reduced in appearance.

Botox works by using Botulinum toxins, which are injected directly into the facial muscle to restrict muscle movement. Deeply etched lines in the face, often created by intense concentration or constant furrowing, will smooth out with regular use. Regular Botox treatments mean preventing new creases from forming while smoothing out the appearance of what you already have.

Injectables

Fillers differ from Botox because they are injected into the contours of your face, not to paralyze, but to add volume or plump specific areas.

Made with hyaluronic acid fillers smooth out wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body naturally produces to keep skin plump and hydrated. Since it already occurs in the body, these fillers are less likely to cause an allergic reaction. The filler itself has a gel-like consistency that is injected into the skin to smooth fine lines. These particular fillers can last from 6 to 12 months before being absorbed. Brands such as Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma, and Restylane are all options for those who are interested in the Hyaluronic Acid option.

Fat Transfers

Noninvasive fat transfers – or micro-lipo injection – add volume to the skin in the face and hands, giving you a more rested, youthful appearance. By using your body’s unwanted fat, the procedure reduces crow’s feet, laugh lines and ridges that appear as a normal part of aging. Along with improving the skin’s appearance and reversing the signs of aging, fat transfers can also repair and reconstruct skin damaged by trauma or surgery.

Vitamin C Peel

Vitamin C is one of the best-known defenses against free radicals. This peel is an option for anyone who suffers from acne because it deeply cleanses the pores and provides an anti-bacterial action to prevent acne from reappearing. The acid found in Vitamin C also works as a bleaching agent, which can help restore imbalanced skin tone and help fade blemishes.

Vitalize Peel

The Vitalize Peel uses a combination of AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Beta Hydroxy Acids), along with Retinol, to give a more corrective exfoliation for the skin. Our most popular facial treatment and suitable for melasma, sun damage, acne, post hyper-inflammatory acne, fine lines and all-over tone and texture of skin. For best results, you should consider a series of three visits.

CO2 Laser

CO2 laser is the latest technology for skin resurfacing. It’s designed to help remove wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and cheeks. The laser works by gently vaporizing the outer layer of sun-damaged or acne scarring to reveal smooth, fresh new skin underneath. Similarly, the laser works to phase out fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure gives your physician control over the application. Recovery time lasts about two weeks and works best for lighter skin tones.
